Status of OII Investigations

The Washington State Office of Independent Investigations (OII) strives to provide thorough and timely information to the public. This page displays investigations that OII is currently conducting and those it has completed.

The chart will display the most recent news release. Visit News and Updates | OII to review earlier news releases on any given case. 

When an investigation is completed, OII will prepare a Final Case Report, which will be available on this page.

Prosecutor Decision

OII does not determine whether to file charges against an officer involved in a use of deadly force incident. That decision is made solely by the local prosecutor.

As a public service, OII shares the prosecutor’s decision.
