About the Office of Independent Investigations

The Office of Independent Investigations (OII) will be expanding and actively investigating use of deadly force incidents in Region 2- Pierce beginning on May 01, 2026. 

Our mission at OII is to conduct fair, thorough, transparent, and competent investigations.

Our vision is that all investigations of police use of force will be free from bias and trusted by everyone.
