OII Director

Interim Director Jane Nesbitt 

Jane Nesbitt was appointed as Interim Director in February 01, 2026 to serve a term through June 2028. Previously, Jane was the Chief of Staff for OII, a position she had held since August 2022.

Jane was one of the first to join in the effort to create and build the agency. She was project manager for the team recruited when OII was established by the Legislature in 2021. The efforts of this foundational team were instrumental in laying the groundwork for the agency’s creation.

Former Director Roger Rogoff then appointed Jane as the agency’s first Chief of Staff. In her previous role, Jane was responsible for overseeing the agency’s mission, vision, growth and development. Her leadership spanned key areas such as staff hiring, training throughout the agency, policy development, and organizational development.

As Interim Director, Jane continues key agency initiatives, including plans for expansion of agency services into additional regions of operations.

Prior to joining OII, Jane served for 18 months as the firststatewide COVID Compliance OperationsManager for the State EmergencyOperations Center during the pandemic. ​She successfully managed sixenterprise projects, contributed to Statewide Strategic Change Management initiatives anddeveloped project governance on public safety.
