The Washington State Office of Independent Investigations (OII) received notification at 3:11 p.m. on April 28, 2026, from the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office that a use of deadly force incident had occurred just after 2:40 p.m. near a residence in the 3200 block of Hoffman Road SE, Olympia.
The incident has resulted in a fatality. No law enforcement officers were injured.
OII will be investigating this incident. More information to follow.
