OII to Host Virtual Community Meeting March 26

The Washington State Office of Independent Investigations (OII) is hosting its first quarterly community meeting of the year.

  • When: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 26.
  • Where: Virtual Zoom meeting
  • How to join: Visit the Quarterly Community Meeting to register.

The community meeting offers an opportunity for people to hear from Director Roger Rogoff and learn more about OII. The meeting agenda includes information about our five-year agency plan and updates on our current investigations.

OII is responding to incidents of use of deadly force in Region 1, which includes Thurston, Lewis, Mason, Clark, Clallam, Grays Harbor, Pacific, Jefferson, Kitsap, Skamania, Cowlitz, and Wahkiakum counties. Region 1 is one of the agency's six areas of operation statewide.

There will also be an opportunity to provide input following the presentation.

If you would like OII to present at your organization's meeting, visit oii.wa.gov/community to submit a request. For questions, please email Community@oii.wa.gov to reach the Community Liaison Program.

The state Legislature created OII in 2021 to conduct independent and unbiased investigations of deadly use of force by law enforcement. It works with an 11-member advisory board that reviews and provides input on agency policies. To view this on the web, visit: oii.wa.gov/news-and-updates.
