Case Number: OII-2026-0013
The Washington State Office of Independent Investigations (OII) received notification around 8:20 p.m. on June 05, 2026, from the Puyallup Police Department that a use of deadly force incident had occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. near a residence in the 1600 block of 4th Avenue NW in Puyallup.
The person shot survived but was reported to have received life-threatening injuries at the time of notification, prompting the OII response. The injured person was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No law enforcement officers were injured.
OII will be investigating this use of deadly force. More information to follow.
